Dr John Lam – Dentist
Dr John Lam
Dr John graduated from UWA in 2005 and went on to found Dental Reflections in 2010. He describes it as being one of the best things he has ever done and loved every second of it before an opportunity arose to live and study in Paris at the end of 2015. Dr John and his lovely wife Lucia then moved to Paris where they lived the Parisian life while remaining impressively bad at speaking French. They zigzagged all across Europe but eventually felt Perth’s calling once again. Since moving back to Perth they have welcomed a beautiful daughter and son to their family.
With both feet again firmly on the ground, Dr John is grateful to be able to once again look after his patients that he knows and loves. He has always had a particular interest in oral surgery, CADCAM dentistry, worn dentition rehabilitations and is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Outside of dentistry Dr John also works as a photographer when he isn’t happily running after his kids.
Alicia- Practice Manager
Alicia joined DENTAL REFLECTIONS in 2015. As the practice manager Alicia always ensures that fundamental systems and protocols are in place within the dental office to help with the professional and smooth running of Dental Reflections.
You will see Alicia at the front reception desk working alongside Courtney. Alicia and Courtney have been both co-workers and friends for over 15 years and the dynamic in which they work together make for a bit of fun.
Alicia completed her dental assistant certificate back in 1999 and with the knowledge of both clinical and administration sides of the business, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team and has a particularly strong focus on ensuring each patient’s visit is an ‘exceptional’ one.
Courtney – Front Office Coordinator
Courtney joined Dental Reflections in 2013 when Dr John Lam owned the practice. She came to the practice with 15 years dental experience behind her. Courtney began her dental career back in 1998 as a “junior dental receptionist” back in her home town of Coffs Harbour New South Wales. When Courtney moved to Perth she began working with a periodontal specialist in West Perth as his dental nurse/receptionist before getting back into full time front office coordinating.
Courtney is very passionate about helping and caring for our patients, Courtney states “I find this very rewarding and satisfying”.
Away from work, her two young children, Yagan and Evie keep her and her husband Ben very busy. Courtney loves to spend time at the beach and enjoys outdoor activities. She is very fortunate to have done a lot of travelling overseas and frequently visits home back at the east coast to see family.
Michelle – Dental Assistant
Michelle is a much loved member of the Dental Reflections Team. Michelle has taken some time out of the clinic in WA and has headed off to the East coast for some challenging clinical work in a hospital setting with an oral surgeon.
I first joined DENTAL REFLECTIONS in March 2010. In between then and now I took one year off to travel the world, basing myself in Dubai and exploring to all the different ends of the world. I returned back to Perth in June 2013 with the opportunity to continue my work at DENTAL REFLECTIONS. If I am not at work you can find me at the beach with the love of my life, Macey (My British bulldog), out on a night with my friends or eating at different restaurants. The practice is my second home, my patients are my close friends and the crew I work with are my family. It’s the kind of vibe you will instantly feel the moment you walk through our doors. All it takes is a little courage and you can trust that you are in great hands.
Bree – Dental Assistant
Bree graduated in 2007 with a certificate in Dental Assisting and has worked at two other practices prior to Dental Reflections. Bree loves the dynamics and friendships made at Dental Reflections and always looks forward to working with the team.
For Bree, job satisfaction is “seeing the confidence boost a new smile can give and helping my patients through their dental journey to get the results they want”.
Outside of work Bree loves spending time with her husband Peter and two beautiful children Jake and Mia.
