Dr John graduated from UWA in 2005 and went on to found Dental Reflections in 2010. He describes it as being one of the best things he has ever done and loved every second of it before an opportunity arose to live and study in Paris at the end of 2015. Dr John and his lovely wife Lucia then moved to Paris where they lived the Parisian life while remaining impressively bad at speaking French. They zigzagged all across Europe but eventually felt Perth’s calling once again. Since moving back to Perth they have welcomed a beautiful daughter and son to their family.
With both feet again firmly on the ground, Dr John is grateful to be able to once again look after his patients that he knows and loves. He has always had a particular interest in oral surgery, CADCAM dentistry, worn dentition rehabilitation’s and is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Outside of dentistry Dr John also works as a photographer when he isn’t happily running after his kids.
Courtney joined Dental Reflections in 2013 when Dr John Lam owned the practice. She came to the practice with over 15 years dental experience behind her. Courtney began her dental career back in 1998 as a “junior dental receptionist” back in her hometown of Coffs Harbour. When Courtney moved to Perth she began working with a periodontal specialist in West Perth as his dental nurse/receptionist . Courtney joined Dental Reflections as our front office coordinator before becoming the Practice Manager in 2020. Out of work Courtney enjoys the beach and coastal walks with her family.

Trone obtained her dental hygiene degree in 2013 from the University of Pretoria in South Africa and worked mainly in general practice before moving to Perth in 2022. After taking some time to raise her first born (and catching up on lost sleep), she obtained her certificate of completion from the Australian Dental Council in 2023 allowing her to return to what she is passionate about.
She enjoys building ongoing patient relationships and educating patients on oral health.
Apart from work, she enjoys a cup of coffee, especially if it can be shared with her husband and two beautiful children while strolling next to the beach.
